Under Pressure

Kittehs lead busy lives. There's food to eat, balls of yarn to unravel, toilet water to drink, bugs to stalk, clothes to shed upon, cardboard to scratch, paper to chew into tiny pieces, and humans to snuggle... not to mention soft places to nap for a good 15-20 hours a day. Kittehs need their sleep! Some days-- such as days when a new scratching post needs scratching-- kittehs try to fit too much into the day and become overwhelmed. Under such pressure, it's no surprise that faults develop:

So much cardboard to scratch, so little time.
